Canajoharie Falls is a cute little town about an hour's drive from Schenectady. The town's park feature a gorge that is absolutely magnificent.

When we went there it was hot out and that water was so cool and fresh. Some of our group took a swim while others just sat and took in the view.

The gorge walls on each side must extend at least 100 feet up as it channels not only the water but a cool pleasant breeze.

The water is shallow in most areas but there are some spots deep enough to go for a swim. The bottom of the creek is made entirely out of slate and its smooth to the touch and makes for a excellent all natural staircase.

By the end of the day some of us were tired and sunburned but everyone had a great day.
